CM – Tragic end to the search for a missing teenager at a notorious Queensland seaside resort


The body of a teenage girl was pulled from the water at a notorious seaside resort in Queensland less than 24 hours after she disappeared.

Queensland police started a search for the 19-year-old after she was in the Babinda nature reserve Boulders in the Cairns area had slipped and fallen into the water.

According to police, she was reported missing on Monday at 2:45 p.m. by friends who said she had not shown.

Police divers from Brisbane helped with the search , involved in police, SES and Swift Water Rescue.

« The police are connected to the woman’s family and our thoughts are with them right now, » said Queensland Police.
