The tropical depression southwest of Guam closed on Tuesday, November 30th, aggravated to tropical storm « Nyatoh ».
The Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical, and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA) recently observed the center of Nyatoh 1,455 kilometers east of Visayas outside the Philippine Area of Responsibility (PAR) .
Nyatoh offers maximum sustained winds of 65 kilometers per hour near the center and gusts of up to 80 kilometers per hour un d is moving west at 20 kilometers per hour.
PAGASA said Nyatoh could move west-northwest for the next 24 hours and enter the PAR on Wednesday, December 1st, in the afternoon or evening. As soon as the PAR is located, it is called « Odette ».
According to PAGASA, the duration within the PAR region is expected to be short, as it can leave the region within 24 hours of entry. However, the public is advised to continue to watch out for possible east or west shifts in the route forecast of the tropical storm.
According to PAGASA, Nyatoh is expected to expand into a severe tropical storm in the next 24 hours, which, however, will change the prevailing weather conditions in the country is less likely to affect it for the next three to five days.
