PEUGEOT has just presented its new 308 SW (pictured). Here in the fall, the model will have two plug-in hybrids as well as gasoline and diesel versions.
This newest property showcases the brand’s new design, but in practical terms, the large trunk / cargo area will be a big draw. The floor with two positions offers 608 liters of space, which can be expanded to 1,634 liters with the rear seats folded down.
At 4.64 m, the SW is 6 cm longer and 20 mm lower. With a 55 mm longer wheelbase and 21 cm longer overhang, it’s no wonder that the trunk is so large.
Inside is the i-Connect Advanced infotainment system, which Peugeot claims to provide a “smartphone-like user experience” the cabin.
There will be two plug-in hybrids from the market launch: a combination of a 180 hp petrol engine and an 81 kW electric motor; and a 150 hp gasoline engine and an 81 kW engine. According to Peugeot, emissions are only 25 g / km.
