Issa Rae married her fiancé Louis Diame in a private ceremony in the south of France over the weekend.
The « Insecure » star and co-creator, 36, confirmed the news Monday by sharing several stunning pictures of shared her wedding day in a hilarious Instagram post.
« A) Impromptu photo shoot in a bespoke @verawang dress. B) My girls came to help me, but they all happened to be wearing the same dress! They were like that embarrassed. C) Then I did some movies with Somebody’s Husband, « she joked.
In the photos, Rae posed in a tailored, strapless Vera Wang dress along with a floor-length veil and a bouquet of neutral roses. Her businessman , Husband, in turn wore a red velvet suit by Dolce & Gabbana.
Rae also shared a picture of her five bridesmaids in matching purple dresses, each holding miniature versions of the bride’s bouquet of roses.
Engagement üchte sparked off in early 2019 when Rae wore a giant diamond ring on the cover of Essence magazine. Rae officials didn’t want to comment on the relationship at the time, but their « Unsure » co-stars confirmed the news shortly afterwards.
« We all figured it out in different ways because we’re all in different strings of text, » said Jay Ellis Entertainment Tonight in an interview a week after the cover was revealed. « We talk at different times, so we all experienced in different ways at different times. »
