ALDI has announced an urgent recall of two popular cheese purchases nationally due to Listeria contamination.
The supermarket has Snackers Market Little Pickers Cubed Tasty Cheese and Mini Crackers (35g) and Snackers Market Little Pickers Cubed Tasty Cheese and Brezels (40g).
Food Standards Australia has confirmed the recall was due to microbial – Listeria monocytogenes – contamination.
The most recent recall comes days after two more deli purchases were recalled by Woolworths and IGA in six states for the same reason.
« Listeria can cause disease in pregnant women and their unborn babies, the elderly and people with weak immune systems, » says Food Standards Australia.
» All consumers who are concerned about their health should seek medical advice and return the products to the place of purchase for a full refund. «
