CM – USA look forward to expanding relations with Pakistan: Blinken

WASHINGTON: US Secretary of State Antony Blinken said he was looking forward to advancing the joint US-Pakistani goals of security, stability and prosperity in South Asia while working together on the Afghan peace process.

In a message from the State Department to On Pakistani Independence Day, the high-ranking US diplomat brought « best wishes » to the Pakistani people on behalf of his government.

« For more than seven decades, » said Blinken, « the USA and Pakistan have worked in partnership ».

He added, “Over the past year we have expanded our collaboration in key areas such as health, where the United States is providing 5.5 million Moderna vaccine doses through COVAX to save lives and end the COVID-19 pandemic.
