The US men’s national team will host Mexico in the World Cup qualifier as the two sides meet at TQL Stadium in Cincinnati, Ohio. The USA will try to continue their current winning streak against a Mexico that comes into this game in order to further consolidate at the top of the table.

The USMNT is confident after beating Mexico in their last two encounters. The win against El Tri in the Nations League final as well as in the Gold Cup final really boosted the self-confidence of this team in this encounter.
Gregg Berhalter has 25 players and all indications are that he will be able to bring his best line-up on Friday. The only notable failure is Barcelona full-back Sergiño Dest, who is out of this qualifying round due to back problems. This will allow either Joe Scally or DeAndre Yedlin to replace him for the next two games.
Weston McKennie appears to be back in the middle and will most likely end up in midfield alongside Tyler Adams and Yunus Musah.
Meanwhile, big news is the return of Christian Pulisic to the national team after recovering from injury has recovered.
Mexico meanwhile is looking for its best version of the game for this international date.
For Mexico, these two games are part of four consecutive away dates. Being able to score points in both games in Cincinnati and then Edmonton against Canada would practically seal their place in Qatar in 2022.
Although Gerardo Martino’s team took first place in the CONCACAF qualification, they have been unimpressed and have received a lot of criticism in recent months.
Tigres right-back Luis Rodríguez is to be brought into the starting line-up so that Julio Domínguez comes back to the center as a substitute for César Montes and plays alongside Moreno.
The biggest question mark for Mexico will be how they set up their set pieces defend. This is because they conceded all four goals that way in their last two games against the USA.
Mexico needs to find better form when it comes to attacking as Raúl Jiménez is still trying to gain a foothold which is why Jesús Corona is still struggling to gain a foothold.
