On June 18, Vader Immortal will be released in a special retail edition for PlayStation VR with a selection of goodies for fans to bring the VR experience into physical format for the first time.
May 13, 2021 – SAN FRANCISCO – ILMxLAB’s award-winning Vader Immortal series will be released on Friday June 18 in collaboration with publisher Perp Games for the official special edition for PlayStation®VR. The physical release of the Special Edition will include several exclusive extras for fans, including:
A digital art book of unreleased art and insight into the making of Vader Immortal, written by StarWars.com contributor Kelly Knox;
A new behind-the-scenes video about the making of ZO-E3, your droid companion voiced by Maya Rudolph (Bridesmaids, SNL) with special footage from a voice-over session, concept art, interviews with the makers, and more.

Vader Immortal: With a Star Wars VR series, as a smuggler near Mustafar, the fiery world Darth Vader is at home, you can get into your own star Enter Wars movie adventure. If you are unexpectedly pulled out of hyperspace, at the behest of the Sith Lord himself, you will discover an ancient secret. The series also features the popular Lightsaber Dojo modes, where fans can spend hours honing their skills with iconic lightsabers and more in Vader’s Training Dojo.
Vader Immortal: A Star Wars VR Series Became Written in close collaboration with the Lucasfilm Story Group by David S. Goyer (The Dark Knight, Blade) and directed by Ben Snow (Star Wars: Secrets of the Empire). It features Maya Rudolph (Bridesmaids, Big Mouth) as her hilarious droid buddy, ZO-E3, and fan favorite Scott Lawrence as Darth Vader.
Vader Immortal has been hailed by both the press and fans. The series was named Best VR / AR Game at the 2020 Game Developers’ Choice Awards. Vader Immortal: Episode I won VR Experience of the Year at the 2019 VR Awards, won the first innovation award at the 2020 Producers Guild Awards, and was named a finalist for outstanding innovation in interactive media at the 2019 Emmys.
