CM – Victoria was hit by another earthquake just two weeks after the worst earthquake in history


Another earthquake struck Victoria, triggering more than 100 reports near Murrayville near the South Australian border.

The Victoria State Emergency Service said a 4.8 magnitude earthquake, 2 km deep was recorded with its epicenter near Murrayville.

It happened Saturday morning at 3:47 a.m. when the state emergency service received more than 100 reports from residents who felt something.

Only two come Weeks after the state experienced its largest earthquake in history on September 22nd.

The 5.8 magnitude earthquake in Mansfield damaged buildings and was felt across Melbourne and as far as Canberra, Sydney and Adelaide.

About 15 minutes later, a second quake of magnitude 4 on the Richter scale also followed at Mansfield.

There were more than 100 calls for help after the earthquake, 55 of them in the metropolis of Melbourne.
