GREEN BAY, Wisconsin – The Vikings learned on Sunday that they will be hosting the Indianapolis Colts in 2022.
The Vikings of NFC North started the season for 2022 with 14 of their 17 opponents in the regular season. Home games against the teams with the same finish in AFC South and NFC West and an away game against the team with the same finish in NFC South remained doubtful.
Minnesota (7: 8), who will play in Green Bay on Sunday evening, secured second place in the NFC North as they won at least the fifth tiebreaker against Chicago. And the AFC North Colts are now sure to finish second in the NFC North after Tennessee won the division on Sunday.
The Vikings could find out their opponent from NFC West later on Sunday. It will be the Arizona Cardinals (10-5) when they lose to Dallas on Sunday afternoon. It would only be the Los Angeles Rams (12: 4) if they lose to San Francisco next Sunday and the Cardinals win their last two games.
Minnesota won’t find out about its street enemy from NFC South until next Sunday. It will be the winner of the New Orleans game next Sunday in Atlanta.
The Vikings have known for a long time that in the year 2022 they will face their NFC northern enemies at home and away and play against the NFC-Ost and AFC-Ost.
Here is the list of opponents for 2022. The dates for the games will be set in April.
