Greg Inglis made his critically acclaimed Warrington debut with one of nine tries when the Wolves took a 50-26 Super League comeback win over Hull KR at Halliwell Jones.

-year-old former Australian international overturned his decision to resign from 2019 to sign a one-year contract with Wolves and ended his two-year absence from the game at the start in the left center after having suspended all five league and cup games.

And the star of kangaroo and country of origin marked his return to the game when, after a cautious opening of 40 minutes, he claimed a try in the second half when he drove and twisted three attempted tackles > Then Inglis showed his adaptability to the Wolves by wecing to full-back for the final 25 minutes after Matty Ashton suffered an ankle injury that forced him off the field hselte.

Hull KR had threatened to be the ultimate party poopers as they led between 18 and 12 at halftime and between 22 and 22 in the middle of the second half before two attempts by Josh Charnley and one each by Daryl Clark, Jake Mamo and Danny Walker saw the wolves dominate the last 20 minutes.

Ben Currie also made two attempts for the home team, with Toby King also touching down and Stefan Ratchford finishing with seven wins on goal. </ Jordan Abdull got a personal performance of 10 points with one try and three losses, with Ryan Hall crossing twice and Shaun Kenny-Dowell and Kane Linnett also touching down.

Blake Austin was again excluded from the Wolves roster, while Mamo switched to the wing with Inglis’ first-time inclusion and Josh Thewlis was out when Sita Akauola benched for his first appearance of the season in place of Rob Mulhern.

Hull KR only made one change from the side that defeated Leeds Rhinos, and Korbin Sims came back to the side when Albert Vete was disfellowshipped with a thigh problem.

Rovers, who came into play after two wins against Huddersfield and Leeds, gave their hosts an early one Shock when they took the lead in the third minute when Kenny-Dowell took full advantage of the Wolves’ poor goal-line defense touchdown and converted Abdull.

But Warrington seemed the ship with two tries in seven minutes from King and Currie, both of them were converted by Ratchford to give the home team a 12-6 advantage.

However, Rovers struck back when Kenny-Dowell’s pass allowed Hall to go into the corner that converted Abdull and the Rovers scrum half scored a penalty to put his side in the lead 14-12.

Then, three minutes before break, the guests extended their lead as Abdull’s blind Scoot from de The dummy half saw the scrum half selling an outrageous dummy to score and give his team an 18-12 half-time advantage.

A second attempt for Currie three minutes after the break gave Warrington the perfect start into the second half before Inglis called for his debut attempt.

Hall’s second strike gave Rovers hope again when the results tied at 22-22, but Warrington’s volley of five attempts in the last 20 minutes brought them home Made Linnett’s attempt a consolation for the visitors.
