Governor Charlie Baker is expected to hold a press conference Tuesday afternoon to explain his government’s plans to lift COVID-19 restrictions this spring and summer.
According to his office, around 1pm, the governor will: 45 o’clock speak. at the State House in Boston next to Lt. Gov. Karyn Polito, Secretary of Health and Human Services Marylou Sudders, and Secretary of Housing and Economic Development Mike Kennealy.
The governor’s plan, unveiled Tuesday morning, calls for the state’s mandate for outdoor masks this Friday before corporate and gathering restrictions are lifted later this May. The plan envisages the reopening of amusement parks and the resumption of street races on May 10, and increases the capacity limits for indoor and outdoor stadiums from 12 to 25 percent.
