The 23-year-old fringe striker faces a 0.08 blood alcohol charge against Perth City Council.
The records show that the offense took place on September 14th in Lathlain – the same suburb as the headquarters and training ground of the Eagles.
« Jones immediately informed the club at the time of the crime and the matter is now being dealt with by the judiciary, » the statement reads.
« The club is bitterly disappointed of Jones’ actions and will review the incident after the hearing with the likelihood of a separate sanction.
« There is no excuse for getting behind the wheel of alcohol and Jones deeply regrets this grave misjudgment.
