Gerard Gravano is the son of the notorious gangster Sammy « The Bull » Gravano. The Gravano family can be seen in the MTV documentary Families of the Mafia. Season two starts on July 15.
Gerard Gravano was involved in the family’s criminal activities. In 2000, Gerard Gravano was among the dozen of people arrested for running an ecstasy drug ring from Arizona to New York, Time and AP reported.

Gravano stayed in Arizona after his release from prison. He and his wife started a company called Impact Payment Options, LLC, according to a search of government business records. The company was founded in 2016 and both were listed as directors of the company in official documents.
At the time of this writing, Impact Payment Options was still listed as an active company « in good standing » with the Arizona Corporation Commission. But the company was never accredited by the Better Business Bureau and the website address provided for the company is not active.
The state website lists at least three other companies that Gravano was previously involved in but are no longer active . He was listed as the manager of an organization called KGG Management, which closed in 2020. Another company called Credit One LLC also closed last year.
Gravano and his mother Debra Gravano ran a restaurant called Uncle Sal’s. The minutes list Debra as president and Gerard as secretary. The business was registered with the state in 1997 before the family members were arrested for running the drug ring. There is still an active restaurant called Uncle Sal’s Italian Restaurant & Bar that operates in Scottsdale, but according to its website, it is run by a different family.
Prior to their arrest in 2000, Gerard Gravano and his father were allegedly disagreed. The New York Times reported in 2001, citing court documents, that Sammy the Bull was accused of plotting the murder of Gerard’s then girlfriend. The woman allegedly “boasted” of going out “with Sammy the Bull’s son”. Prosecutors said Sammy threatened Gerard and even held him at gunpoint for « disrespecting the family. »
But the father and son repaired fences. Gerard Gravano posted a photo of his father on Instagram in 2019 and wrote: “Happy birthday, dad, I’m so happy to have you back. You have always been my rock, someone I can always rely on, no matter what. Love you to death #Blood thicker than water. «
