CM – Wimbledon 2021: I wish we could play on grass all year round, says Ashleigh Barty

« This is a beautiful course »: Ashleigh Barty said she was comfortable on the turf while sharing her desire for more turf competitions on the main course.

Ashleigh Barty booked her spot on the third round of Wimbledon 2021 with a triumph over Anna Blinkova on Thursday. She had to retire from the French Open due to a physical problem and was overwhelming during her second round match against Anna Blinkova. On the way to a 6: 4, 6: 3 triumph, she broke number 89 in the world rankings six times.

In her interview after the game, the Australian said that she feels comfortable on grass and at the same time she wants more Announces lawn competitions on the main course. She said, « This is a beautiful court. I feel that lawn tennis is the place. I wish we could play on it all year. It’s a traditional surface, I just love it and I definitely have it enjoyed being out here again today.  » « 

Ashleigh Barty at the time praised her rival Anna Blinkova, demanding that she and her group have a lot of homework to do while they settle their case against the Russian. She said, » We had to do a lot of homework to find out how we figure out her game and how we fit together, but she played a great game today. « 

Ashleigh Barty also mentioned how Anna Blinkova had the opportunity to run close to her in the devastating moments of the game. The Russian had four breakpoint openings at 3-4 but failed to draw. Ashleigh Barty held out before gradually setting off a few moments later to secure the triumph.

« Really, there was a couple of dots here and there and it could have been a different story so I’m happy to get through and get another chance to play, « said Barty.

Revealed in her post-game interview on the pitch Thanked Ashleigh Barty for being so happy to play in front of the audience on SW19. She also affirmed that participating in the grass slam is nothing without its audience.

« It’s been a great year so far. I think it’s definitely nice to have you in the stands for all the players and fans I think Wimbledon wouldn’t be quite the same without you guys, so it’s nice to have you guys here. « 

Ashleigh Barty is next up against Katerina Siniakova for a place in Wimbledon’s second seven-day stretch. In the event that she wins, the Australian could face reigning Roland Garros winner Barbora Krejcikova in the fourth round.

It is appropriate to note that Ashleigh Barty’s professional best result at Wimbledon 2019 when she advanced to round four after a 15-match winning streak. The Aussie’s run came to a sober conclusion, however, as she was beaten in three sets by Alison Riske.
