Emergency services were called to a property on Chatsworth-Wickcliffe Road near Karmala Lane after a resident found the body next to a burned-out vehicle at around 3 p.m.
Although the body has not yet been officially identified The police assume that it is the missing Timboon woman Rosie.
The 84-year-old was last seen on June 10 since the police and Rosie’s family carried out an extensive search of the area.
The exact circumstances of the death have not yet been clarified, the investigation is ongoing.
