Whether you do it for medical reasons, out of love for animals, the environment, or just for taste reasons, the transition to veganism can be difficult and should be done with caution. Many celebrities are increasingly opting for a greener lifestyle. Veganism is a way of life that requires continuous dedication and perseverance. In honor of World Vegan Day on November 1st, here are some Indian celebrities who are committed to veganism and the stories behind their decision.

Kangana Ranaut is no stranger to animal rights and advocacy. Her views on veganism imply that she practices it for both ethical and environmental reasons. To the uninitiated, she was first a passionate non-vegetarian, then a vegetarian, and finally a vegan.

Aamir Khan and his ex-wife and Director-producer Kiran Rao both went vegan around the same time. Rao reportedly showed Khan a video about the most common diseases that people die from and how dieting could help prevent them. He avoided all dairy products, including curd, which he admitted in several interviews that he missed.

R Madhavan, a vegetarian who became a vegan, has been a vegan for years and has consistently advocated animal rights throughout his career and the protection used. He was also named PETA Person of the Year in 2012.

Esha Gupta, a PETA member, went vegan and is excited about the impact it has had on her life. Her motivation for moving was to fight climate change, save animal lives and lead a better lifestyle. Esha was raised a vegetarian and converted to veganism in 2015.

Passionate about the need for meat, John Abraham became a vegan for animal rights and has often expressed his affection for animals and their protection from inhuman acts brought.

Your affection for animals, especially cats, is not new to us. The actor wasn’t always vegan, however. She is a new member of the green club. She also founded the animal aid organization CoExist, which works tirelessly for stray animals in India.

Sonam Kapoor Ahuja is the torchbearer of the green club. However, this has not always been the case. She is a true Punjabi and enjoys non-vegetarian cuisine, especially seafood. However, when she became more health conscious, she switched to vegetarianism and later veganism because of her lactose intolerance.
