It should have been a very fun college football Saturday to distract you from the dread of the Husky’s season opener that was supposed to serve as a last drink Instead, the Dawgs are on the sidelines and there will certainly be a dark cloud looming over the course of the day and likely until UW finally kicks off.
But if you’ve got the constitution to watch college football in these tough times, here are some of the games of the day for each time slot
A 9am PT Pac-12 football game?!?! Man I’d kill for a 9am PT Husky game now
There is a very good chance that the South Division will come down to this game considering I think these are the top 2 teams Jayden Daniels and Kedon Slovis are both in sophomores meaning they are expected to have another showdown between them coming in 2021 If the Sun Devils are able to upset themselves it would show that they are serious this season and that the Clay Helton experience is for more of the same
This game will likely determine who has a chance at being a potential SEC second team to make the college football playoffs alongside Alabama The Gators had an explosive offense while the Bulldogs have some of the best defenses if not the best in college football This should be a contrast in styles which generally leads to some intriguing play The Kyle Connection (Trask to Pitts) will be watching here
The ACC are also trying to see if they have a chance against two playoff contenders now that Notre Dame is playing football with them this season It probably depends on whether the Fighting Irish got upset at home this weekend -end, then Clemson wins a rematch in the ACC title game NFL Draft No.1 pick Trevor Lawrence is out again after testing positive, but Clemson didn’t skip a beat too much with the first QB ranked in Class D 2020J Uiagulelei is leading the show
