Spaniard Mikel Oyarzabal will not travel to Portugal due to coronavirus



The Spanish national team have stated that striker Mikel Oyarzabal will not travel with the team to play in Portugal after a test reveals antibodies for the virus responsible for COVID-19

The team says that Real Sociedad players’ diagnostic test for the virus was negative but was shown to have antibodies to SARS-CoV-2

UEFA rules state that a player must not play or attend a match until his body is completely free of the signs of the Oyarzabal virus and is able to train and play in the league Spanish with only the antibodies present in accordance with the country’s health guidelines

Spain say Oyarzabal will do another test to see if he can join his teammates for the Nations League team matches against Switzerland on Saturday and at Ukraine in October 13
