Veteran Pacer Peter Siddle shone with the ball as Adelaide Strikers recorded their first win in the ongoing 2020 Big Bash League (BBL) on Tuesday.
Siddle had his best BBL numbers – 5/16 – half a century ago from Jake Weatherald, and captain Alex Carey led Strikers to a five-wicket win over Hobart Hurricanes at Aurora Stadium in Launceston.
Bowling first, Strikers got off to a great start when they broke through in First Over themselves. Weatherald grabbed a stunning catch at cover point to send right-handed opener Will Jacks back for a duck.
Strikers rode Siddles Fifer and bundled 19 hurricanes for 146. 3 overs. Ben McDermott and Colin Ingram scored 46 runs and 33 and respectively. 35 balls the first hit for your team.
Weatherald returned to head the chase with an unbeaten 68 while Carey scored a 40-ball 55 after beating Strikers in trouble 9-2 after the first over.
