An eight-year-old girl sustained horrific genital injuries after a waterslide in a theme park on the Gold Coast.
The girl’s mother, Sarah, said her daughter was on the Fully6 slide at WhiteWater World, at Dreamworld with her siblings last month, before getting away bloodied and crying.
« The blood just flowed out of her . . . she called « mom, will I die? »
Sarah claimed there were no staff available to help, except for a young man who showed her to the first aid room.
Sarah said a staff member suggested that the eight-year-old was on her period and called the first aid officer.
She was operated on for a severe vaginal tear and is expected to take eight weeks to recover.
The Fully6 slide is the newest ride in WhiteWater World, according to the theme park’s website.
Guests must be at least 120 cm tall and no heavier than 120 kg to meet the requirements for the ride.

Sarah has since called in lawyers to investigate the incident. Dreamworld is now facing another possible lawsuit.

« The injury was reported to Workplace Health and Safety Queensland by WhiteWater World when the guest was hospitalized and an internal investigation is ongoing.

Earlier this year, Dreamworld’s parent company, Ardent Leisure, was fined $ 4. 5 million about the death of four people on the Thunder River Rapids Ride in 2016.
