Weltnachrichten – AU – EDITORIAL: President Trump is leaving his mark on federal justice

. . The constitution is the winner.

. .

The term of office of President Donald Trump will be long remembered for the vitriol of his political opponents. From a practical point of view, however, his four years in office will be forever held by Dr.. . Trump’s most important achievement: Appointment of constitutional judges to the Bundesbank.

As The Associated Press reported last week, the president’s court rulings « left a deep impression » that will far outlast his lonely tenure. As a candidate, Mr.. Trump won over many Republicans by promising to fill the federal judiciary’s vacancies with constitutionally professing judges. Once in office, he delivered – thanks in part to Nevada’s Harry Reid, whose 2013 change to filibuster rules turned out to be a colossal mistake. After the Democrats castrated themselves as a minority, the GOP Senate approved more than 230 of the president’s court decisions, including three Supreme Court judges.

The dynamics of Mr. . In fact, Trump created was so powerful that the Senate continued to confirm mr. Trump’s appointments more than a month after the president lost his re-election offer. Mr. Trump « has basically done more than any other president in a single term since (Jimmy) Carter to put his stamp on the judiciary, » said Jonathan Adler, a law professor at the Cleveland Western Western University Law School in Cleveland Operation.

Mr. . Trump has often boasted of his appointments as judge, and it is clearly his most formidable accomplishment – both in terms of the sheer number of judges he banked and in terms of his appointments’ ability to breathe life into constitutional guard rails. Many of the Trump-appointed judges who hold lifelong offices are still in their thirties. Also, his three Supreme Court rulings – Neil Gorsuch, Brett Kavanaugh, and Amy Coney Barrett – are all young enough to serve on the field for three decades or more.

Ultimately, however, Mr.. . Trump’s legal impact will be greater than numbers. The vast majority of the judges he chooses oppose making the courts de facto a legislative body that views the nation’s founding document as a mere guideline to be discarded if necessary. For years progressives have tried to do through the judiciary what they could not do through the legislative or democratic processes. Most Trump officials are likely to show keen skepticism about such an approach, as well as a willingness to point out the dangers to freedom associated with an expansive and unaccountable administrative state.

President Trump will leave his post with a great deal of pride when it comes to federal justice. In that sense, the Constitution is the clear winner.

The Nevada Supreme Court has for years evaded its duty to enforce the separation of powers clause of the constitution. It shouldn’t put it off any longer.

Subsidy errors don’t work. However, this is the requirement for President-Elect Joe Biden’s new plan for community colleges.

The Nevada Supreme Court on Tuesday put an end to Clark County’s arrogant and egregious efforts to ignore the state’s open files.

Miguel Cardona, Joe Biden’s election as Education Secretary, is potential evidence of the new administration’s commitment to unite, not to split.

Sen. . Rand Paul released his Festivus 2020 report last week to highlight Congress’s insatiable propensity to spend other people’s money.

It is a symbol of 2020 that the unemployment rate is 10. 1 percent is considered good news in Nevada.

Here is a day for friends and family and – even during this pandemic – to celebrate our freedoms and the associated bonus again.
