A few hours ago a magnitude 6 earthquake. 3 on the Richter scale hit central Croatia, leaving at least one person dead and several injured. This is a serious situation that a famous streamer and League of Legends pro experienced while on broadcast.

Perkz, a mid laner recently signed by Cloud9, broadcast League of Legends from his native Croatia. The player is currently there due to the holiday season and that the competitive Riot Games MOBA leagues are currently on their annual hiatus.

As you can imagine, Perkz thought it would be a show like any other, so he practiced League of Legends while his fans watched. However, the unexpected natural disaster changed plans as the streamer had to step away from the keyboard for his and his family’s safety.

Perkz didn’t seem to be particularly surprised by the earthquake at first. As the intensity increased he found it was a major earthquake and gave up his League of Legends game to evacuate his home.

In a post on Twitter, Perkz revealed that he had never felt a tremor in his own flesh before. That might explain why his initial reaction was so calm for the scale of the situation.

“The first time I had an earthquake and it was the strongest in Croatia. My God, “said the League of Legends pro on social media.
