Detectives from the Bendigo Crime Investigation Unit investigate a suspicious fire in a well-known clothing store in Bendigo overnight.
Police were told that witnesses heard broken glass and saw two criminals pour an unknown substance on the window of the shop on Mills Street just before noon. 30 o’clock.
The fire quickly engulfed the premises before the two ran off the scene towards Mitchell Street.
The police have spoken to the witnesses, but are urging anyone with information or other witnesses to report.
A crime scene has been set up and remains in place to this day while the police await the presence of a pillage chemist to aid the investigation.
