Lisa Vanderpump is one of the former stars of the Real Housewives of Beverly Hills. There are a couple of things the reality star is known for: her love for the color pink and her dog Giggy. The latter became a reality TV icon and set the standard for other famous pets from the real housewives world. Vanderpump shared devastating news with her fans that Giggy had died.

« We are devastated to say that our beloved Giggy passed away this morning, » Vanderpump wrote on her verified Instagram account. “He was really loved, and we know how many of you loved him too. ”

Giggy was short for gigolo and was often shown on RHOBH to become a star yourself.

« Our cute gigolo was an amazing, one-of-a-kind dog, but it was mainly because of him that we started the Vanderpump Dog Foundation and began our mission to save as many dogs as possible, » Vanderpump continued. “He inspired us to start our rescue work and we will always be grateful for that. Giggy’s legacy will live on through every dog ​​Vanderpump Dogs rescues. I thank you all for your support. Rest in peace Giggy we love you. ”

News of Giggy’s death quickly hit the headlines and the stars of Bravo took up Vanderpump’s post to offer their condolences.

Andy Cohen, executive producer of The Real Housewives, said, “Giggy was Bravo’s first dog. Really love at first sight for the cutest puppy we’ve ever seen. RIP nice gigolo. ”

Tom Schwartz of Vanderpump Rules also commented, “RIP Giggy, you were loved by many and brought so much joy to the world. ”

Schwartz’s wife, Katie Maloney, also expressed her condolences, adding, “RIP Giggy, you were and always will be an icon. ”

Vanderpump has not had an easy year this year. Their restaurants had to close after the pandemic. The restaurant and bar business was hit hard as the coronavirus was difficult to control. California has put some of the toughest measures in place to protect the health of its citizens, and Vanderpump has been hit firsthand.

Back in July, Vanderpump made the difficult decision to permanently close their Villa Blanca restaurant in the heart of Beverly Hills.

« Although there have been many untrue articles over the past week about the reasons for the Villa Blanca closure, we are actually going to close our doors for good, » she told Daily Mail.

Vanderpump stated that given the circumstances of the pandemic, her landlady would not budge from negotiating a new contract.

« If the landlord had been willing to renegotiate and the lease hadn’t been terminated, we would have reopened, but unfortunately the coronavirus situation was out of our control, » added Vanderpump.

Villa Blanca has been part of the Beverly Hills community for 12 years. The former RHOBH star said she was confident she could open the same concept elsewhere in the future.

In addition to the closure of the restaurant, Vanderpump’s hit show Vanderpump Rules has been put on a longer break. Bravo made the decision to dismiss four actors from the series due to racist actions. The show is slated to do another season, but there’s no word yet on when that will be.
