The woman was hit by moving machinery at WestGold Resources’ Big Bell mine near Cue in the Midwest.
In a statement released Tuesday, WestGold said it supported the families and colleagues of workers at Big Bell.
« Our hearts go out to the family of our employees and to their colleagues, » said CEO Peter Cook.
“The safety and well-being of our employees are our priority. Therefore, we will ensure that a thorough investigation into this tragic incident is carried out.
« In the meantime, we will give your family and colleagues extensive support during this difficult time. ”
Perth’s father Michael Johnson died in July when his vehicle fell over the edge of an open quarry in the Saracen Dervish gold mine.
In January, Howard Prosser suffered fatal crush injuries at the Roy Hill iron ore mine in the Pilbara.
