Adam Hills, who hosted the show during its original run between 2005 and 2011, followed by one-off specials in 2019 and 2020, will be back for a full season.

Adam will be accompanied by former team captains Alan Brough and Myf Warhurst on the restart.

A premiere date for the new series, which will include 10 episodes, has yet to be announced.

Host Adam shared his excitement on Twitter, writing: ‘Some people made banana bread in Lockdown, we made a new series of #SpicksAndSpecks. Get on your Aussie screens in 2021. ‘

As early as April, Adam discussed the possibility of a restart of Spicks and Specks during an interview on The Green Room podcast.

« Sometime this year there was talk of doing a run of ten, » Hills told host Neil Griffiths.

‘I don’t think we would ever do 40 again. I think that would just take too much time, ”he said.
