ADELAIDE, Australia: Australian striker Tomi Juric returns to the A-League after five seasons in Europe with Adelaide United.
Juric, who had A-League stints at Adelaide and Western Sydney from 2013 to 2015 and played 41 international matches for Socceroos, is returning after playing for CSKA Sofia in the Netherlands, Switzerland and most recently in Bulgaria Has.
I am very happy to be back home . . . Adelaide United has a good project and I’m delighted to be a part of it, Juric said in a statement on Thursday.
The Jurics signing follows Adelaide’s recruitment of Spaniard Javi Lopez for the A-League season, which begins late next month.
Lopez, 34, has spent the past 11 years in the Spanish league with Espanyol and has been the captain for the past five years.
