The alarm was triggered around 6 am. At 45 p.m. on Wednesday, the helicopter, which was believed to be on a training flight at the time, did not return to its base.
Police said the helicopter was last seen near Marulan, about 25 kilometers east of Goulburn, and rescue workers soon began searching in rough bushland near Tallong.
NSW Police Rescue Officers found the helicopter wreck around noon. Thursday at 25 p.m. and discovered the bodies of two people nearby. The victims were not officially identified.
Police have worked all night to recover the bodies of the victims and the Australian Road Safety Bureau and NSW police are investigating the circumstances of the crash.
