Two members of the Fiji Armed Forces were among 40 others arrested for violating the curfew in the past 48 hours.

Acting police superintendent Rusiate Tudravu says 21 cases were recorded from 11 p.m. to 4 a.m. Saturday yesterday, while 19 reports were received from 11 p.m. to 4 a.m. Sunday today.

The eastern division had three cases, the central division two cases, while the only case was recorded in the southern division.

The 15 arrests in the Western Division involved 10 people, all of whom were found drunk near the Savusavu Bridge in Ba, including two teenagers.

Three cases of loitering were recorded in both the Martintar area of ​​Nadi and the Rakiraki area, while two men in their twenties were found to be drunk while driving a vehicle.

The Eastern Division recorded three cases of everyone in the Nausori area loitering and intoxicated.

Tudravu says two cases recorded in the Central Division involved a man and a woman in their fifties who were both drunk and found loitering on Hunter Street in Suva.

The isolated incident recorded in the Southern Division involved a 19-year-old woman who was found drunk and loitering in the Grantham area.

The other 19 cases recorded from 11 p.m. to 4 a.m. today all relate to alcohol in the Southern Division, including two members of the RFMF.
