The two-time WSL champion John John Florence from Hawaii is moving up after winning the 11th. Run the third round 2019 into the fourth round of the Billabong Pipe Masters 2019 before at Pipeline. The competition has been suspended due to the recent coronavirus cases among WSL employees.

The World Surf League has suspended the Billabong Pipe Masters competition following confirmed coronavirus test results among WSL employees, including CEO Erik Logan, according to an Instagram post this afternoon.

WSL officials said in the Instagram announcement they are working closely with the Ministry of Health and “prioritizing the safety of athletes, employees and the surrounding community. ”

« As part of the league’s COVID safety plan, anyone who returns a confirmed positive test is self-isolating until cleared, and contact tracking protocols have been fully implemented. WSL does not believe athletes have been exposed and will continue to execute safety protocols, ”the Instagram post said.
