The breathtaking show dance of the late Caroline Flack with her Strictly Come Dancing partner Pasha Kovalev was remembered in the Christmas special described by Judge Craig Revel Horwood as « beautiful ».
In 2014 she and Pasha won the twelfth series of Strictly Come Dancing, in which they performed a cha-cha to Can You Feel It by The Jacksons and a show dance to Angels by Beverley Knight.
Instead of the typical competition, this year’s Strictly Christmas special features a countdown to the 25 most memorable moments of all time on the show, a list that includes Caroline twice.
In eighth place is her and Pascha’s show dance, a spectacular, contemporary routine in which the two left all their emotions on the dance floor.
Pasha, 40, remembered his dance with Caroline and said that the audience was able to connect with her while she showed her « real emotions » through her dance.
Former Strictly winner and judge Alesha Dixon, who made a special appearance on the show nine years after leaving for Britain’s Got Talent, said she believed show dancing allowed Caroline to show off her « authentic self ». .
« What was so nice about Caroline’s and Pascha’s show dancing is that she was her authentic self in dance, you could see her heart, you could see her passion, » she said.
Caroline Flack did number 8. This dance was so beautiful that she really was an angel sent from heaven and left us way too soon. Your dance will go down in #strict history. To this day I am shocked that she is gone. She left us too early. ð ???? ð ?????? #Strictly
Caroline Flack was a stunning dancer and this is a reminder of how amazing she really was. RIP Caroline, you will not be forgotten and still loved #Strictly #StrictlyComeDancing
The show dancing routine ended with Caroline and Pasha spinning on the dance floor, a moment the professional dancer said was of particular importance to the late television presenter.
According to Pascha, this was the moment when Caroline finally believed she was a « dancer ». .
« This dance was so beautiful that she really was a heaven sent angel who left us way too soon, » said one person.
It was recently announced that Channel 4 has commissioned a documentary film about Caroline’s life.
The hour-long special will examine the impact social media and press have on her life, in addition to the pressures she has faced throughout her career.
