A source told The Sun, « There’s a real demand for nostalgia and feel-good celebrities right now – and Hear’Say is just the ticket.

‘But after much deliberation, Myleene politely said that after much thought, she didn’t think the time was right for her. ‘

Hear’Say was formed in 2001 on the ITV show Popstars and was successful with their number 1 hit Pure and Simple.

Hear’Say’s first album, Popstars, was a huge hit, but its success quickly faded when they released their second album, Everybody.

They split in October 2002, less than two years after being put together on Popstars, citing « public abuse » at the time as the main reason for the split.

On the W Word podcast, Smooth’s radio host admitted that the group constantly feared people around them would sell them stories, adding that despite topping the charts, they had no money in the bank.

A Hear’Say reunion could be planned after former Corrie actress Kym was ready to go on a reunion appearance in October 2019, saying, “I would love to do a one-off show, maybe just for Manchester Pride. ‘

Myleene repeated the feeling in an interview with MailOnline, in which she shared how desperate her daughters Ava (13) and Hero (9) are to see them perform on stage.

‘I’ve gone from no, never, it will never happen to my kids when they say, « Go ahead, just do it! We want to be able to see you do all of the dance moves. « .

‘You want to see if I can still dance and remember the words that would be a miracle for baby brains right now! I can almost remember my car keys. ‘

Since rising to fame on Hear’Say, Myleene has secured a successful career as a presenter on Smooth Radio and is currently preparing to appear on the 2021 series of Dancing On Ice.
