Made In Chelsea star Jamie Laing and his strictly professional partner Karen Hauer hit the leaderboard in prime time on BBC One show

Jamie Laing is the Made In Chelsea star who stole the hearts of the nation with his appearances on Strictly Come Dancing.
The 31-year-old heir to the McVities fortune has also received rave reviews from the judges on the hit BBC show thanks to his fun and energetic routines with professional partner Karen Hauer.
It’s a strictly second chance for the reality star who had to start last year but was dropped out at the last minute due to an injury.
Now he and Karen are steadily climbing up the rankings, finishing fourth last week with their impressive samba after Bamboleo by Gipsy Kings.
This week the pair are hoping to climb even higher as they make their couple’s decision to make you sweat (Everybody Dance Now) by C C Music Factory.
And one person he wants to make proud by appearing on Strictly – his beloved mother.
Jamie said, « The reason I do it is to make my mom proud, but all I did last year was to make her even more disappointed. «
The reality TV star, who also has his own candy company Candy Kittens, has built a close relationship with Karen – even sporting haircuts with the couple.
Jamie joked, « I think the good news is that when I am dancing, some people mistake me for Karen, making them think I am as good as Karen. I am totally not.
« She is the most incredible dancer. But we have matching haircuts that work in weird ways. It’s cool. We look like Power Rangers together or something like that

And Jamie has a tearful explanation for wanting to reach the Strictly finale – he’s planning to propose to his girlfriend Sophie Habboo.
Talk to OK! Jamie revealed, « You know what? Maybe I should do this. When I raise the trophy, I can make her a suggestion at the same time. «
« Honestly, she would be mad if I did it on the Strictly dance floor on TV. It would be her worst nightmare. So I’ll make her a proposal between us if I win Strictly. «
