COLUMN: The United boss has made an important change to his close-knit team. PLUS: The report shows that despite everything, English managers are unfavorable to Sam Allardyce’s return
Mark Dempsey, longtime assistant to United boss Solskjaer, has stepped down from his first team duties to a role in the academy.
Dempsey, 56, is one of Solskjaer’s trusted lieutenants after working with him in Cardiff and Molde. He also made headlines after falling ill during the 2019 Australian tour to Australia when he was off work for a few months.
The first United team was very busy with four assistants and three goalkeeping staff. Perhaps this is a way of reducing staff.

A detailed analysis of RunRepeat from 877 different leadership phases in 18. 260 leagues in the Premier League, La Liga, Ligue 1, Bundesliga and Serie A shows that English bosses have only taken over 27 percent of the games.

The report’s author, Vyom Chaudhary, said, “Our analysis proves the old adage that local leadership talent is not given enough opportunities in the Premier League.
“English managers have mastered only 27 percent of all games in the last ten years – by far the lowest representation of domestic leadership talent among five leagues. A total of 29 English managers worked in 46 different professions.
« It is clear from the above numbers that the approaches that Premier League clubs have in hiring managers are more diverse. However, local leadership talent is less preferred in the Premier League compared to the other leagues. ”
Tottenham, like many clubs, has security software that displays any « profanity or credit card information » contained in emails.
Ironically, an anti-discrimination group email containing the word « yid » to a director of the club was blocked because it was viewed as profanity.

Barcelona legend Eric Abidal sent a wonderful message of support to Norwich youngster Shae Hutchinson after the 20-year-old had a kidney transplant.
Hutchinson, 20, has an inherited condition called Alport’s syndrome and is recovering from a second operation.
But Abidal did his best to lift Hutchinson’s spirits with a social media post: “The road is long and patience will be the key word. Always think positively because that is 50 percent of the victory. Strength and courage to you Shae. ”
Former French star Abidal, who won 13 trophies during a glorious career in Barcelona, underwent a liver transplant in April 2012 after a tumor was found a year earlier and he recovered to play again.
