A high profile footy star has collapsed after revealing the pain of his messy off-season divorce, in which his netball star wife saw him switch to one Rival team.

Gun AFL midfielder Adam Treloar is now on the books of the Western Bulldogs after five seasons with Victorian rival Collingwood – and his move to Whitten Oval has enraged many Magpies fans. </ When talking about Fox Footy's AFL 360, Treloar admitted that the ugly breakup has taken its toll, particularly the way his fiancée, Queensland Firebirds Super Netball recruit, Kim Ravaillon, blamed his departure Collingwood was forced to swap Treloar – and two other stars, Jaidyn Stephenson and Tom Phillips – for competing clubs because of pressure on the salary cap, but instead Don't blame it for mismanagement of wages, the club said the Treloar trade was due to concerns about his mental health -being.

The saga then came to a head when Guy publicly claimed the Magpies would not have considered moving Treloar if his wife hadn’t decided to go with hers little girls moving north.

« We had some conversations with Adam and (his manager) Tim [Hazell] about whether his family was going to move to Queensland, and if he wanted to, and it evolved from that conversation to the thought that he was going to look at another opportunity, « Guy told Fox Footy.

He said the move would not have been considered once Treloar’s wife got into her netball career Victoria would have continued.

‘That was the catalyst for the discussion. We wouldn’t have looked for that discussion … it wouldn’t have developed from it, I wouldn’t have thought, no, « added Guy.

However, Treloar wasn’t even sent to a Queensland club near his wife because neither Brisbane Gold Coast was able to fulfill its contract worth around USD 800,000 per season.

It is assumed that Treloar only met with Bulldogs trainer Luke Beveridge a few days before joining the club.

Former Collingwood President Eddie McGuire later spoke about the saga on his Triple M’s Hot Breakfast radio show.

Magpies coach Nathan Buckley said it was » one of the toughest days of his career « having to tell the trio of senior players that they were being traded.

After his ugly exit, the Magpies thanked Treloar for his services and said the deal had given the 27-year-old « the opportunity to make an impression at his third club ».
