A high profile footy star has collapsed after revealing the pain of his messy off-season divorce, in which his netball star wife saw him switch to one Rival team.

Gun AFL midfielder Adam Treloar is now on the books of the Western Bulldogs after five seasons with Victorian rival Collingwood – and his move to Whitten Oval has enraged many Magpies fans. </ When talking about Fox Footy's AFL 360, Treloar admitted that the ugly breakup has taken its toll, particularly the way his fiancée, Queensland Firebirds Super Netball recruit, Kim Ravaillon, blamed his departure Collingwood was forced to swap Treloar – and two other stars, Jaidyn Stephenson and Tom Phillips – for competing clubs because of pressure on the salary cap, but instead Don't blame it for mismanagement of wages, the club said the Treloar trade was due to concerns about his mental health -being.

Treloar had previously suffered from depression and the theory was spread that he did would not stand being separated from his fiancé and new baby when she went to Queensland to play and that would affect his performance.

This led some Magpies fans to consider them quitting Treloar instead of blaming the club for improperly administering the salary cap and therefore forcing them to release star players.

« I don’t know what you’re doing to me Robbo, but you will be me make you cry and I don’t want to cry, « he said to co-host Mark Robinson.

Adam Treloar fought his former club Collingwood after he nac the move of his wife Kim h blamed Queensland for his messy departure

« Since Kim is pregnant … I watched it closely and I just loved and appreciated it … it kept me motivated every day.

The situation then revolved around her, which was hurtful because the story should have been this incredible woman who sacrificed her body for nine months to have Georgie.

« That she did, and that this news was overlooked , was a real challenge for me. «

Treloar also insisted that revenge will not be on his mind when his new team takes on Collingwood at the MCG season opener on Friday night.

» I’ll be there don’t go out and think, « I was mistreated. I was treated badly. I’m just going to show it to everyone. I’m not like that, « he said.

» All those lies weren’t the reason they got rid of him, there was another reason (the club’s salary cap), « she said.

‘It was an emotional roller coaster ride. « You (Collingwood) started saying to Adam, » It’s bad for your sanity, you won’t be able to handle the move, « and Adam said, » It’s up to me, it’s not up to you to decide. «

Then they started blaming me (after Australian netball player Ravaillon signed a professional netball deal in Queensland). They apologized for why he was leaving when they wanted him to go . ‘

After weeks of speculation, Treloar was sold to the Western Bulldogs at the last minute on the last day of the AFL trading period on November 12th last year.

During the AFL trading period, there was fierce speculation about its future, after his wife signed with the Queensland Super Netball Club Firebirds – with the expectation that he would follow her and sign with one of the two AFL clubs in Queensland.

Collingwood List Manager Ned Guy said, the Magpies would not have considered moving Treloar on if his wife had continued her netball career in Victoria – an indication that the club felt they couldn’t get along without them en.

Treloar expressed his bitter disappointment with how things turned outwardly with the Magpies when the media asked him about his move.

New Western Bulldogs player Adam Treloar spoke about his chaotic exit from Collingwood. He is pictured with wife Kim and daughter Georgie on Friday. « The way they handled it kind of hurt, » Treloar told reporters. « I wish I could have ended my career at Collingwood, that’s the honest truth.

» They firmly believed they had to take me forward … they really thought I couldn’t make it, mine Family away. «

He also claimed that Magpies coach Nathan Buckley called him to tell him the older playgroup no longer wanted him at the club – something Buckley had previously denied.

« I was told that in no uncertain way and it hurt because I know how close I am to the players, » said Treloar.

« To say that when I don’t think that’s the truth and to say there are some players who don’t want you there, knowing that the majority of the players love me and care for me hurt a bit.

« But they were stuck Determined to take me further, so no matter how they proceeded, it was going to happen. It was a fight to the end because I wanted to be in Collingwood. ‘

The Magpies were concerned that Adam Treloar would not stand being separated from his wife Kim Ravaillion and little girl Georgie (pictured together).

He also hit back on Guy’s comments, The Hours previously made about his family situation, adding he wished things hadn’t played out so publicly.

Treloar first wore red, white and blue in a photo shoot in November at the western headquarters Bulldogs Clubs, where he was accompanied by his wife and their eight month old Georgie.

“It’s been a crazy, crazy 15 hours for me. I’m really excited to be here at Whitten Oval as a Western Bulldogs footballer, ”he said.

» I couldn’t be more excited to put on this Bulldogs polo and finally get to know everyone. «

The saga then came to a head when Guy publicly claimed the Magpies would not have considered moving Treloar if his wife hadn’t decided to go with hers little girls moving north.

« We had some conversations with Adam and (his manager) Tim [Hazell] about whether his family was going to move to Queensland, and if he wanted to, and it evolved from that conversation to the thought that he was going to look at another opportunity, « Guy told Fox Footy.

He said the move would not have been considered once Treloar’s wife got into her netball career Victoria would have continued.

‘That was the catalyst for the discussion. We wouldn’t have looked for that discussion … it wouldn’t have developed from it, I wouldn’t have thought, no, « added Guy.

However, Treloar wasn’t even sent to a Queensland club near his wife because neither Brisbane Gold Coast was able to fulfill its contract worth around USD 800,000 per season.

It is assumed that Treloar only met with Bulldogs trainer Luke Beveridge a few days before joining the club.

Former Collingwood President Eddie McGuire later spoke about the saga on his Triple M’s Hot Breakfast radio show.

« It’s the hardest part when you’re a supporter because you love your players and your players love you » McGuire told the audience.

« We are at the end of this campaign … and you either say, » OK, are you taking the steps that need to be taken to go through there? «

Magpies coach Nathan Buckley said it was » one of the toughest days of his career « having to tell the trio of senior players that they were being traded.

‘The management of contract players who the Loving the environment outside of the club is a short-term lose / lose situation. The decisions are not popular, but they were necessary, « he tweeted.

Treloar was also open to his previous struggles over anxiety and psychological issues Health throughout his career and previously credited his partner for helping him find his way around it.

In August 2019, he told Fox Footy, « Without my partner Kimmy, Nick Maxwell, Bucks, Jacqui [Louder] being my psychic / really, really good friend and family, I probably wouldn’t play footy to be honest. ‘

The 27 year old Ravaillion has played 57 games for Australia and previously played the last three Su Played netball seasons with Collingwood.

« I’d like to chat with some of Ned Guy’s former schoolmates and just wonder how his lunch box swaps went, » tweeted former Collingwood and Carlton star Dale Thomas.

After his ugly exit, the Magpies thanked Treloar for his services and said the deal had given the 27-year-old « the opportunity to make an impression at his third club ».

« We have been for some time believes this year’s draft is an excellent opportunity to meet some of our needs, « Guy’s statement said.

» We think we can improve from the inside out in the short term, but we can now, too Strengthen the profile of our list in the medium and long term. This deal greatly improves our ability to do that. ‘
