Actress Elliot Page and dancer Emma Portner are getting divorced after three years of marriage, CNN reported. In a joint statement on Tuesday, Elliot Page and Emma Portner told CNN that even though they broke up last summer, they continue to share warm terms: « After much thought and deliberation, we made the difficult decision to go after ours Divorce Divorce Last summer. We have the utmost respect for each other and remain close friends. « Elliot Page and Emma Portner married in January 2018, just a short time after they published their relationship. The former couple started dating in 2017.
Elliot Page came out as gay in 2014 and revealed himself to be transgender in December last year. An excerpt from his long statement read: « I am overwhelmingly grateful for the incredible people who supported me on this journey. I cannot express how remarkable it is to finally love who I am in order to pursue my authentic self . » Emma Portner was Elliot Page’s biggest supporter, who cheered him on, writing, « Elliot’s existence is a gift in and of itself. Sparkle on sweet E. I love you so much. »
Emma Portner is a professional dance instructor on Broadway Dance Center. She choreographed and starred in Justin Bieber’s music video Life Is Worth Living, and was also part of the singer’s Purpose World Tour.
Elliot Page is best known for his role as the title character in the 2007 film, Juno, for which he was featured in was nominated for an Oscar. Elliot Page’s impressive work includes films such as Inception, X-Men: The Last Stand, Tallulah and X-Men: Days of Future Past. He also stars in the popular Netflix series The Umbrella Academy.
