The Breakers lost for the second year in a row to the Adelaide 36ers, who lost between 88 and 87 last night to remain without a win in the Australian Basketball League.
Adelaide stars Issac Humphries and Josh Giddey troubled the New Zealand side in South Australia again.
Finn Delany, the best of the Breakers, scored 19 points, while the double-digit moves of Webster brothers Tai and Corey hit the Breakers within one point later in the middle of the third quarter.
However, the New Zealand team failed to use their momentum as the 36s recovered to knock the Breakers out of the water in the final quarter.
« Overall, we didn’t see any rhythm or flow. We’ve got a lot too do. «
The Breakers are at the end of the table after two games and play against Perth this weekend.
