The COVID-19 death of a young University of Alabama superfan has reportedly sparked an investigation into contact tracing by health officials in Indiana.
Ratcliff, a mega fan of the school’s basketball team, was known for his plaid blazer and was nicknamed « Fluffopotamus » or « Fluff » for short.
« Doesn’t seem real, » wrote Nate Oats, chief basketball coach for the University of Alabama, on Twitter. « Fluff has been our greatest supporter since day one. »
Now, local Indiana officials are reaching out to their Alabama counterparts to see if an Indianapolis resident of an Alabama resident who has visited Indianapolis in the past few days has visited Indianapolis , Could have been exposed to COVID-19, it said in a statement.
