An important response is underway after a 1.5km freight train carrying « dangerous goods » derailed in rural NSW.
Ambulance was on Morrows Road in Nana Glen this morning just after 2.15am on the central north coast of the state.
Half of the train’s wagons were derailed, one of the locomotives was in a paddock and the other two were upright.
One of the locomotives leaked up to 8000 liters of diesel and 16 cars with jackknives, four of which ended up in the flood.
The driver was safely removed from the train and assessed by NSW Ambulance.
