Jake Paul should think twice before challenging UFC fighters to boxing matches. After beating Nate Robinson, Paul has his sights set on former UFC champion Conor McGregor. Paul may not get that wish, but another UFC champion is ready to take McGregor’s place.

That would be the women’s bantamweight and featherweight champion Amanda Nunes, who said she was ready to take on Paul in a boxing match.

This fight was suggested by UFC President Dana White, who said he « was thinking of knocking out Amanda Nunes [Paul’s] ass. ”

White’s comment was not unprovoked. Paul called both McGregor and White after they failed to respond to Paul’s bid to fight. In a mundane video, Paul said McGregor and White were scared and told both men to “sign the contract, you idiots. ”

When asked about this video, White – who probably wasn’t 100 percent serious – brought up Nunes.

While it seems unlikely that Nunes and Paul would fight, the fact that Nunes is on board makes it more possible. Assuming Nunes is serious, it is now up to Paul to decide if he would take up this fight.

That would probably be a terrible idea for Paul. Not only is Nunes one of the greatest UFC fighters in the world, he’s also trained in boxing. It would represent a massive, huge, colossal, gigantic step over Robinson, who looked completely lost in the ring while playing with Paul.

It is unclear where this saga is headed next. Paul could take on Nunes’ challenge, keep his sights on McGregor, or find someone to fight back. In any of these scenarios, there is a strong possibility that Paul will be slapped in the face.

YouTube sensation Jake Paul escalated his feud with Conor McGregor and his teammates with a drive-by attack on Dillon Danis on Tuesday.

Danis is a McGregor teammate fighting for Bellator MMA. He was famously attacked by Khabib Nurmagomedov after UFC lightweight champion McGregor submitted to UFC 229.

Paul owes two professional boxing victories, a win over a fellow YouTuber and a win over former NBA star Nate Robinson, who trained for the fight for two to three months.

Paul surrounded his fight with Robinson and called McGregor. After the fight, he said it was his life’s work not just to fight McGregor, but to defeat him.

Of course, Paul is best known so far for being famous. . . on YouTube where he has 20. 3 million subscribers. He’s now collecting steam on Instagram (14. 2 million followers) and Twitter (3rd. 8 million followers) and broadened his horizons.

Paul posted a profanity-laden video of McGregor on Instagram that was replied to by McGregor’s rival Nate Diaz rather than the Irish.

After getting such attention for this stunt, he went after Danis. Paul and his crew, including the video camera, drove around in the bed of a pickup truck, apparently launching water balloons at Danis while again throwing swear words at him.

So far, no one has shown great professional interest in Paul’s antics, with UFC President Dana White particularly shoving him aside, saying there is « no chance » that he will ever get a fight with McGregor.

However, Paul makes the most of his moment in the sun and attracts attention for hurling insults and now projectiles like he has just stepped out of a middle school classroom.
