Rugby Australia today thanked the Australian government for its commitment to support Australia’s bid to host the 2027 Rugby World Cup

The Rugby World Cup is the third largest international sporting event in the world reaching a global audience of 857 million rugby fans

Hosting the 2027 Rugby World Cup across Australia is predicted to result in $ 2 billion in direct and indirect spending to the economy, with total attendance of over two million and over 200,000 international visitors expected to travel here for six weeks tournament

Rugby Australia began planning for the foundation in October last year with the host of the 2027 Rugby World Cup to be announced by World Rugby in May 2022
