World News – AU – Britney Spears and Backstreet Boys Drop New Collab Matches: Listen!

The collaboration we wanted is finally here! Britney Spears released « Matches » with the Backstreet Boys on Thursday night. The song is included in the deluxe version of their album Glory.

« ‘Matches’ with my friends @backstreetboys is now available !!!! » Spears tweeted. « I’m so excited to hear what you think about our song together !!!! You can now hear Glory Deluxe everywhere! »

BSB also shared the song and tweeted, « What a glorious day it is. . . We have been asked about the possibility of such a collaboration for the past 20 years and today is the day !! #BritneyXBackstreet is finally here! «

The electro-pop track starts with A. . J. . McLean sings, « I taste you in the air / your energy all over the place / Oh, it’s borderline unfair / You know I can see them pray it, scream my name, oh. « 

Nick Carter then continues, « And if it’s up to me (I) / I need you in between (mine) / In my Egyptian sheets / You know I can see her praying, think you feel the same way, Oh. « 

« Matches » is produced by Mike Wise and Ian Kirkpatrick. Fans first got news of the collaboration a week ago when the track listing for Glory’s re-release went online, revealing a track featuring the five singers.

Last week Spears also released « Swimming in the Stars, » which can be seen on the LP, which was originally released in 2016.

This is Backstreet Boys’ first single since 2019, « No Place », which was released on their ninth studio album, DNA. It debuted at No.. 1 on the US Billboard 200, making it the third No.. The group. 1 album there and the first since Black & Blue in 2000.
