Carly Waddell becomes open about her breakup with Evan Bass. At Christmas, the Bachelor In Paradise alum posted a photo with her two children expressing that she felt « very sad » and out of order after breaking up with her three-year-old husband.
« Merry Christmas – Christmas Day is not what I left out this year. The three of us. The new normal. It feels incredibly abnormal and actually very sad, « she began. « Many of you kind people have asked if I’m okay. And I want to say that I am, but I am not. I will be. «
Waddell, 35, added that Christmas would be the first day her kids would stay overnight at her ex’s house.
« I feel like I’m missing a piece of my soul. I literally just sit alone and write this, « she continued. « But I’m grateful it was a white Christmas, and I’m grateful that the kids are all having fun with their dad and brothers. You feel so loved. «
Waddell and Bass, 38, tied the knot in 2017 after meeting for a Bachelor in Paradise. They share 2 year old daughter Bella and 1 year old son Charlie. Bass is also the father of three older sons from a previous marriage.
« We made the difficult decision to split up, » they said in a joint statement to People. « We will always treasure our time together and continue to have the greatest respect for one another as we focus on what is best for our family’s future. Thank you very much for everyone’s love and support, and we ask that you respect our family’s privacy as we navigate through it. «
Waddell first joined Chris Soules’ season The Bachelor in Bachelor Nation in 2015, while Bass appeared in JoJo Fletcher’s season The Bachelorette in 2016.
ET spoke to the couple in 2017, where they shared that they had no plans to have any more children.
« Pregnancy is really difficult, » explained Waddell. « I’m fine now that I’m almost over my hump, but I’m bad this first trimester. I’m just so sick. «
