Stewart was an integral part of the Broncos’ secondary « No Fly Zone » after signing with Denver in 2015. He helped the team to the title and secured a Pro Bowl spot in 2016.
In his four seasons in Denver, he was known for his consistency, punch and balanced character in a defense full of personality. He also had an interception by Tom Brady in the AFC championship during the Broncos title year.
Overall, Stewart has built a solid career, going from an unoccupied South Carolina free agent to 143 games (92 starts) in 2010, scoring 11 interceptions and six forced fumbles for four teams. He also played with the St. . Louis Rams, Baltimore Ravens and most recently the Tampa Bay Buccaneers during the 2019 season.
Stewart plans to spend more time with his family and partner with his non-profit Stewart Standouts Foundation. However, he hopes his next step is to work with the South Carolina soccer team to help develop athletes on and off the field.
