Former Hull FC center-back Albert Kelly has teamed up with NRL team Brisbane Broncos, according to reports from Down Under.

Kelly left KCOM Stadium last month after spending four seasons with the Black and Whites, but has returned to his native Australia.

The 29-year-old is expected to get a chance to prove himself after signing a train and trial contract with Brisbane Broncos.

As such, he will spend preseason time with Kevin Walters’ roster in the hopes of winning a permanent contract for the 2021 season and one more jump in the sport’s most important competition, which he held at Hull KR in 2014 left.

Brisbane is believed to be looking for a center-back as they look to improve significantly in 2020.

Kelly early in his career spent some time with Cronulla Sharks and Gold Coast Titans before moving to the Super League, where he quickly showed off his talents.

He was a favorite at Craven Park before moving across town to FC, where he won the Challenge Cup and a spot on the 2017 Dream Team.

However, this year, injuries have gotten over him as a problematic Achilles tendon problem limited his playing time and ensured his final appearance for the Black and Whites was played against Castleford Tigers in September.

His contract was terminated earlier last month to allow him to return to Australia after it became clear that his injury was at the end of the season.

Kelly will try to get his fitness level with the Broncos and get attention to deserve one more try at the NRL.
