Chelsea womens Fran Kirby has now managed to surpass Eni Aluko as the all-time top scorer and find the back of the net in the London club’s womens Champions League match against Benfica within two minutes.
Kirby scored another 70 goal later in the game, surpassing Aluko as the sole top scorer in Chelsea women’s history.
The Reading-born striker has managed to win three Super League titles for women with Chelsea Women. Her first win with the club came in 2015 and was followed by a successful title defense in 2017 and 18.
She also won the women’s FA Cup in 2015 and 2018 with Chelsea. In addition to these titles, Kirby won the WSL Cup last season and started the 2020/21 season by winning the FA Community Shield for women.
The striker joined Chelsea from their hometown club Reading in 2015 and has been with West London Blues since then. She now has a special place in the club’s history and could set an even bigger record at the age of 27 that will last for many years to come.
Kirby has managed to play 36 internationals for the English women’s national team and has finished eleven times on the net for the three lionesses.
