A teenage girl now faces a long recovery while his family takes legal action after sustaining a traumatic injury on an issue in the Gold Coast Park.

The 8-year-old suffered a serious genital injury over a week ago while riding down the Fully6 water slide at WhiteWater World.

The Courier Mail reports that the Logan family are currently considering legal action after alleging there were no staff to help the little girl who emerged from the blood-covered and crying foil.

When an ambulance was finally called and the little girl was rushed to the hospital, it was found that she had suffered a severe vaginal tear and would require eight weeks to recover.

Shine Lawyers now support the family as Ardent Leisure (parent company of Dreamworld and WhiteWater World) faces another lawsuit.

Lawyers have told Newscorp that the girl’s injuries are unacceptable and that she followed the limited instructions for the ride.

« The WhiteWater World team recognized the injury to the guest concerned on March 22nd. November on.

« It can be verified that the guest has met all manufacturer requirements for the attraction and has received detailed and repeated instructions on positioning the slide, including a physical demonstration by a slide operator.

« Following the presentation at WhiteWater World’s Park Health facility, which is manned by a team member who is both a nurse and a paramedic, the injury was assessed and an ambulance was called.

« The injury was reported to Workplace Health and Safety Queensland by WhiteWater World when the guest was hospitalized and an internal investigation is ongoing.

« Our thoughts remain with the guest and her family and we wish her a full and speedy recovery, » says the statement.

Shocking, they still haven’t learned from previous incidents, the employees are too young or not trained to the required level. Fortunately, it wasn’t as deadly as the last time.

Totally agree, but you know management does not agree. You can train employees, but they still need the maturity to follow the guidelines.

Yes, it’s better to turn everything off and leave the kids at home watching TV or on a dumb phone playing games. We cannot take any chances in our life at all. . . and don’t go to the beach OMG crab bites, big waves, jellyfish, cracks, who will you sue then . . . GOD? maybe the parents? …

For God’s sake, Brad. Nobody wants theme parks to close. We just want them to be better managed. Risk is an important lesson we learn in life, but it rules itself and we choose to do it. But why is it fair for a child to be injured through the alleged negligence of another person?.

Hello Brad
Very true, people complain about everything …
I’m just saying: have a life and don’t bother your neighbor or the rest of Australia.

There are 3 other theme parks that can go to you, haha, they just have to close the dream world

My question is, how on earth do you get a tear down a water slide . . . if you don’t do anything, you shouldn’t be 🤦‍♀️🤷‍♀️

After working as a lifeguard at www this season, I can say that the lifeguards and the slide supervision are actually very well trained. Every employee is monitored by the camera and we are tested daily throughout the day. She would have been told to cross her legs up on the journey and it would have been shown to her. There is no way that a lifeguard was absent. They are changed every 30 minutes. If you change a security guard keep watching the splash, I would say she may have run away after it happened.

Although I respect your opinion, I visited Dreamworld and Waterworld shortly after it opened a few months ago. I was dismayed that most of the rides were still closed (for maintenance? What had they done in the months they were closed) and those that were open were managed by staff who spent more time together and on a snail worked pace and very little attention to the guests. Waterworld wasn’t much better with its cast and it took too long. I’ve visited theme parks in other parts of the world and find that the administration is way too casual here. I firmly believe that it would be better if they employed more mature staff with the life skills necessary to keep everyone safe.

I have been to Dreamworld many times and have always loved my visits and found the staff efficient and friendly. I am sure they would have to be extremely strict about their regulations now. Certification would undoubtedly be the reason why certain trips are closed. You would be led by the alarm clock and that takes time. I went to Disneyland where a boat engine exploded and part landed on my head. I didn’t make a fuss because I didn’t feel like I had any ongoing problems, but Australia is a contentious country. Everyone is quick to sue someone because they don’t want to take responsibility for themselves. I’m just seeing a sensational news report here. Bad news is interesting to most of our distorted minds. But at the end of the day, the poor little girl didn’t obey the rules. It’s a terrible shame when our iconic tour spots can’t just be fun for us. How does a company cover all eventualities? You can’t, accidents will unfortunately happen, but it is a risk we should all take or be bored with tears. At some point it will be too much for the fun companies and we could actually be bored forever
