One of Australia’s largest construction companies, Grocon, has summoned officials and blames problems with a Sydney development project for bankruptcy.
Grocon CEO Daniel Grollo said losses from Infrastructure NSW handling of the Central Barangaroo project on the edge of Sydney’s CBD are the reason for the.
“It’s a pity that INSW forces our hands to put construction work into management,” S. said Friday.
Grocon is fighting for compensation in the New South Wales Supreme Court for handling the project.
The company has built some of the country’s most iconic landmarks, including the Rialto Hotel, Crown Casino, Eureka Tower and AAMI Park Stadium in Melbourne, as well as 1 Martin Place in Sydney and Common Ground in Brisbane.
