Reporting on the impact of the coronavirus on the sports world

During Saturday’s game between the Atlanta Hawks and Memphis Grizzlies, Hawks Star Guard Trae Young popped off a screen and eventually got caught up in Grizzlies Guard Grayson Allen. Young eventually stumbled upon the piece.

After the game, Young took to Twitter to express his frustration with everyone and accused him of deliberately trying to trip him.

The tweet has since been deleted, but Young was clearly frustrated by Allen with the piece. Young cast a shadow over everyone by replying on Twitter and writing, « Damn it, that must have really, really hurt. I am sorry. I hope you’re allright. « 

While players in the NBA get involved in games like this on a daily basis, Allen has a long history of tripping. During his college career at Duke, Allen was involved in several incidents that triggered his opponents. Duke head coach Mike Krzyzewski even disciplined Allen because of repeated stumbling blocks.

What is more interesting here is that Young and Allen have had history since the two entered the NBA.

During a preseason game earlier that year, Young was hit with a technical foul for pushing Allen. In addition, the two guards got into another argument during a summer league in 2018.
